Moleskine® myDetour in San Francisco

As previously documented, I am a Moleskine notebook-aholic.  I’m sad to miss this really cool event in San Francisco, but I know I will find comfort writing in my Moleskine Madrid City Guide.

Chronicle Books is excited to partner with Moleskine to participate in the 2009 San Francisco myDetour program, running from September 10 – October 1, 2009. myDetour is a Moleskine project dedicated to the community of Moleskiners and anyone who loves to paint, photograph, illustrate, write and use their Moleskine notebooks for other creative projects. It is a chance for Moleskine users to show their notebooks, both online and offline, and share their creativity and imaginations with both their local communities and with the larger Moleskine community.

Starting September 10, myDetour will be featured as a special display at the Chronicle Books headquarters in San Francisco, as well as at various other book and art supply locations throughout the Bay Area. Moleskine users are invited to visit the displays to check out completed books by authors and artists around the world, as well as drop their Moleskine notebooks in the collection boxes for consideration to join the traveling archive as it continues throughout the world.

  1. I dropped by the Chronicle Headquarters where they have about 6 journals on display. Only 2 submissions at that location. I hear the Borders on Union Square as more journals on display and possibly more entries. Very inspiring.

Now it goes on to Tokyo!
