Sheila’s early life influenced her passion for exploration and life-long learning. A first generation Irish-Italian American background and frequent visits to see extended family abroad, expanded her world view. Those travels and interactions positively impacted her formative years and shaped her future. She learned that cultural differences were to be cherished and celebrated. And, found that storytelling, a treasured art form and a family tradition, was an engaging way to share experiences, emotions and recount history. Sheila’s creative writing is rooted in storytelling and a passion to educate, enlighten and inspire. Her career started in advertising on the West Coast in account management and new business development. For over three decades, she has worked in media – magazine publishing, radio, television, and digital. A move to Florida opened up new opportunities. Sheila successfully worked as tourism destination marketing consultant promoting the Sunshine State for several years. A flourishing public broadcasting career soon followed. Reinventing herself daily, Sheila continues to cross countries and continents to provide unique stories and travel insights to Tango Diva followers and audiences worldwide.
