If you have time: Rocky Mountain National Park, Garden of the Gods, Cave of the Winds, drive up Pikes Peak (gravel) or drive up Mt. Evans (paved). Coors Brewery, Denver Art Museum, Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater, Indian Hot Springs in the town of Idaho Hot Springs. The ski resorts, Vail, Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, Keystone, Aspen. Vapor Caves Spa in Glenwood Springs, El Dorado Canyon, Botanic Gardens, Imax Theater, many of the open spaces in nearby mountains, spiritual communities in Crestone, four wheeling in the high country.

9. Any areas of town we should avoid?

Northeast section is mostly industrial and polluted with coal power, oil refinery, shipping and trucking warehouses, etc.

Well, if you want to party, check out the northern section of downtown Denver on a Friday or Saturday night, the area called LoDo (Lower Downtown), up and down Market Street, and neighboring streets.
