  1. San Francisco’s Michelin Guide Rolls Into Town Amidst a Flat or Two!

    Finally foodies could let their collective breaths out as France’s hot lil’ red number was revealed last night at the Ferry Building Marketplace. Michelin’s second North American restaurant guide, (New York’s was released last year and it’s first printing sold out in just two weeks), caused quite a stir among the local foodies, paparazzi, restaurateurs, and chefs. Although French Laundry garnering the coveted 3 ***’s came as no surprise, some were shocked that Chez Panisse, the shrine which many consider The place to worship American Cuisine, received a niggardly one star rating. Others consider it equally sacrilegious that young upstart Range, a casual eatery in the Mission , was bestowed a star when culinary icon Zuni did not.
