The Charter Oak restaurant is a mandatory stop in the heart of the Napa Valley wine region. Previously the site of Tra Vigne, Christopher Kostow and Nathaniel Dorn have kept all the architectural eye candy. It’s the best in casual/fine dining, minus pretentious attitude. The large open heath centers the room. Start your evening at the bar, surrounded by a dazzling display of wine and spirits. Hungry yet? Goodbye foraged vegetable foam whatever. Chef Katianna Hong created a menu easy to decipher, consisting of locally grown, organic, sustainable, ingredients. Three snaps to Suzanne Tucker, her mad interior design skills will leave Martha Stewart weeping with joy and envy. The weather is usually nice, so plan on getting off those comfy chairs and cozy up around the impressive fire pit.
