Riverdance returns to Jacksonville, Northeast Florida’s River City, in 2017 with an amazing new show that promises to dazzle and inspire.
Riverdance has been wowing audiences for decades with an innovative blend of music, dance and song.
Theatrical storytelling at its very best!
The 20th Anniversary Tour marks the return of the show after a four-year absence.
Well worth the wait, the 2017 show brings renewed energy to the world’s treasured Irish dance phenomenon. New costumes, new lighting and new choreography beautifully celebrate and build on the success of a show that has spanned over 20 years.
Riverdance’s amazing rise from humble beginnings, a mere 7 minute act in the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest, is hard to believe in such a competitive industry. The show’s popularity exploded, transforming Riverdance to a beloved box office sensation. To date, Riverdance has performed to sell-out crowds in 46 countries across 6 continents.
As a first generation Irish-American, my loyalty to all things Irish runs as deep as my roots. Riverdance is no exception. I am mesmerized by the fancy footwork and touched by the soul-stirring songs. Each performance brings me joy and never gets seems to get old.
I can’t think of a better way to kick off the New Year.
Electrifying and emotional on every level, there is sure to be a special dance that will resonate with you and become a lasting favorite.
“Countess Cathleen”, one dear to my heart, is a toast to divas everywhere. The lively dance number showcases the power of women as they challenge the men in a toe-to-toe feisty dance-off.
The 2017 Tour will include another delightful diva-inspired dance “Anna Livia”, featuring a talented troupe of Irish lasses in an a capella hard-shoe number.
Last minute shoppers, remember this historic performance makes a perfect gift.
Uplifting and unparalleled entertainment!
Riverdance will keep the spirit of the season alive with magical memories to be shared for years to come.
