Lotusland, a hidden gem in the mountains of Montecito, near Santa Barbara, opens their new exhibition “FLOCK: Birds on the Brink” on February 28th. Birdwatchers, nature lovers and voyuers alike will be drawn to this unique experience.

Thirty international artists promise to iintrigue and shock visitors as they transform the gardens of Lotusland into a provocative exhibit that portrays the global loss of wild bird populations.

This year’s extravaganza expands beyond the Pavilion Gallery to include five outdoor installations hidden throughout the gardens. Expect to stumble upon a “Murder of Crows” in the newly restored Blue Garden, Gary Smith’s human scale nests, R.T. Livingston’s camouflaged “Sitting Ducks: Hiding in Plain Sight” and a larger than life caged Topiary Bird. The exhibit is Guest Curated by Nancy Gifford.
