Location and how to get there: Downtown Avignon, just inside the city wall coming through the gate for the Place Crillon. The high speed train from Paris, the TGV, is the easiest way to come to Avignon. Hotel d’Europe is 5 km from the TGV station which is approximately $20 USD for a taxi from the TGV station. The Marseille International Airport is only 45 minutes away from Avignon by car. Avignon has an airport for domestic flights only. Taxi services are provided from all airports and train stations, the approximate cost for a taxi from the Marseille airport is: day: $145 USD or at night: $200 USD.
