Dear Friends and Family,
It’s finally happening; Hawthorne Lane has been transformed in the TWO weeks since Christmas into TWO, the second restaurant at 22 Hawthorne Street with TWO chefs! Barring any major surprises, we’ll be open for dinner this Thursday, January 11th at 5:30 pm. It’s been an incredibly exciting (and exhausting) two weeks, but we’ve finally gotten it done. I think that it looks great, and I hope that you’ll agree.
The menu is completely new (well OK, you can still have spicy tuna tartar if you ask). Some of the sausage and charcuterie from my Postrio days are back along with the smoked salmon on crispy potatoes. A few of my favorites from the opening menu are the roasted marrow bones with tomato fondue and crusty bread, the bacon and egg raviolo with sage and brown butter, the cast-iron pan chicken with quinoa salad and the caramelized broccoli with garlic and lemon. I’m sure that you’ll come up with your own list of must-have dishes.
We’re just starting with dinner for a week or TWO, but we’ll be doing lunch soon, and also doing box-lunches to go in March. You can make reservations on our new web-site www.two-sf.com or call us at 415.777.9779.
