beauty treatments in airports?

The only thing that would get me to the airport 2-3 hours before a flight would be an opportunity for a manicure, bang trim or blow dry, and massage – things that can be done in 30 minutes or less. And I eagerly search airports for such services. Only – most of my layovers – especially from South America are at 5 am. So far, I have not experienced any such treat at any airport.

So I was thrilled to learn that the int’l airport in Cancun has 2 new XpresSpa’s in terminals 2 and 3, providing travelers with a full line of services including massages, waxing, facials, manicures and pedicures, open 365 days a year, with 2 shifts, 7am to 3pm and 3pm to 11pm.

You can check out the web site for all the locations – 14 so far nationwide and 6 more opening this year including Amsterdam. And best for me, San Francisco in the near future.

I will get back to you after I check out the SFO location. Meanwhile – another reason to head to Cancun!

Let us know if you have been to the XpresSpa. And please share any other aiport salon discoveries.

The spa, Cowshed at the Clubhouse, offers a range of treatments for men and women, such as facials, massages and tanning beds, plus Bumble ‘n Bumble Hair Salon for hair care!
