This was THE place to stay in Laguna Beach 80 years ago and after the recent make-over it’s still THE place!

The peachy location (only steps from the beach) plus their Rooftop Terrace (which offers a gorgeous 360 degree views of the Pacific and Laguna hillsides– partic sweet at sunset) are two good reasons why you might want to stay here. However, if you or your sig-other happens to be into surfing than a stay here is mandatory.

The owners recently dedicated ten rooms to the Casa Surf Project Remodel project and paired 10 top California designers with 10 sports companies and were given free reign to style-out the room. The results are some amazing artsy, mix-media surf-themed rooms.

One of my faves was the artistic Billabong Women’s Suite, complete with a seaweed ceiling installation, a calming underwater mural over the headboard, and the use of the original 80-year-old decorative wood and beams.

You’ll sleep even better knowing that a portion of the proceeds are donated to charity.
