Hotel Review: Baja Boost!

Historically the number one spot for Spring breakers,
Mexico’s Baja Peninsula is making a transition to one
of Latin America’s most exclusive destinations, and boy, do we appreciate it!
Spearheading the change is ‘Las Ventanas al Paraiso,’
one of the region’s newest and most stunning resorts
overlooking the sparkling Sea of Cortez.

The Rosewood Resort has set a new standard in luxury
and service, with its 61 spacious stucco style suites
complete with private terraces and fireplaces.
Its two open-air restaurants offer local Baja wines
and cuisine which makes the most of Mexican flavours.
Poolside staff offer cold towels and wireless handheld
televisions, and telescopes are available for
stargazing.

Las Ventanas al Paraiso (which translated means
‘Windows to Paradise’) is located between San José del
Cabo and Cabo San Lucas.

Between these bustling towns you’ll find scuba diving
sites, game fishing and – more proof that the area is
catering to a high end crowd – four championship golf
courses under construction, adding to the eight
already there.

Jack Nicklaus has called the last three holes at one
of the existing courses, Cabo del Sol, ‘the finest
three finishing holes in all of golf’.

If visiting the spa is more your pace, consider the
‘Desert Flower’ treatment in a secluded garden of Las
Ventanas al Paraiso, where an aromatic bath is
followed by a massage with desert-herb infused
essential oils.

No wonder Hollywood heavies, including Jennifer
Aniston, have made it their new escape.
Just another day in paradise!

Las Ventanas al Paraiso, KM 19.5 Carretera
Transpeninsular, San Jose del Cabo, Baja California
Sur, Mexico.+52-624-144-0300.
