Sometimes spa vacations feel a little too indulgent. All that pampering can make an active girl restless. So you don’t have the funds or time to go to India or St Tropez—no problem! There are a lot of great spas right here in San Francisco.

For the Third-Eye Diva:

Kamala Spa

At this treasure, owned by Chris and Amber Bently, Ayurvedic practices and the lavish decor lend to the fantastical, Raj-era setting. Discover your dosha (ayurveda mind and body type) and schedule in a massage! Who knew you could go to Stockton Street and encounter a world of saris and Kerala-inspired treatments from southern India?

For the Yoga Diva:

International Orange

Most women who live in the Bay Area know about this place—or at least they should know about it! International Orange is a gem for yoga. Go on a sunny day and chill with some lemon water on the studio’s gorgeous sun deck. It’s also a great spot to unwind after a long week. Book a massage and grab a hatha yoga class (which are all good). You will keep going back to this place—guaranteed.

For the Supermodel Diva:

LaFontaine Private Fitness

You have two choices at this SOMA hot spot. Train with owner (and former supermodel) Kristin LaFontaine and get a great workout that will keep you inspired for weeks, or train with Rey Tabora, who has a similar style but in a male sorta way. Ray will work out every part of your body, focusing on core training and stability. He is also a cool dude with the edge you need from a trainer. I can’t decide who is a superior trainer, so it really just comes down to whether you want to work out with a man or woman (hot guy—or hot girl?). This is the best one-on-one fitness studios in the Bay Area.
