“Coming to theatres near you” is my current mantra. As a challenge to myself, I am completing a novel and have commissioned a screenplay of it. I live in northern California with my wonderful husband, Lester Kaufman, and our amazing daughter, Zoe.

For more than 20 years, I have maintained a private practice coaching individuals, couples and families in living their extraordinary lives. In January of 2003, I was diagnosed with a brain tumor, which, thankfully, was successfully removed. This wake-up call began a journey of deeper self-reflection that led to my writing the self-help book, “Enough Is Enough! Stop Enduring and Start Living Your Extraordinary Life.”

I now share this work by providing seminars and consulting services for organizations trapped in endurance patterns, and by conducting in-depth seminars for individuals from all walks of life. I am often featured in newspapers and magazines for this groundbreaking work and appear as a guest expert on radio and TV.

In addition to “Enough Is Enough!,” I have written and self-published, “The Blue Book of Grammar and Punctuation” (www.grammarbook.com).

This easy-to-use reference guide and workbook—which is often purchased in bulk by executives who realize that proper grammar is increasingly important in the marketplace—has won numerous awards, including recognition by the BBC. It is a perennial bestseller on Amazon.com and is used by hundreds of universities, high schools and middle schools worldwide.

Come visit me online at www.stopenduring.com, and thank you to Tango Diva for inviting me to lead a successful seminar last month for Divas, called, (Re)Kindle Your Passion for Your Work and Your Life.

Diva Visionary Questions:

1. What was the best decision you made in your life?

Hands down, it was my decision (kicking and screaming, actually my back went out) to give in to my husband and have a baby. Zoe, our daughter who is now 14, is the light of my life, filling me with love, joy and awe every day. My husband gets to be right about that one forever.

2. What is your most memorable travel moment?

Seeing a huge iguana and turtle emerge from the bushes on the Galapagos Islands. Watching the blue-footed boobies do their dance, standing next to an albatross and sea lions, having a bird land on my shoulder. The Galapagos animals have no fear of people. Traveling there was a lifelong dream come true.

3. What was the worst travel experience you had?

I always had nightmares about my teeth falling out, so my worst experience has to be when all my fillings and bits of my teeth actually did started falling out on my cycling trip through Europe. The bumpy roads were just too much for my old dental work. Thank goodness for socialized medicine in England.

4. What have you learned about yourself through traveling?

I can let go of annoyances more easily than I give myself credit for in my day-to-day life. I really can go with the flow. I don’t get jet lag. I love travel because it keeps me in present time.

5. If you could choose your ultimate travel companion, living or dead, real or imaginary, who would it be?

I’m so grateful to travel with my husband and daughter, but I enjoy traveling with my good friends too. I don’t think I need an imaginary companion.

6. What moment in your life did you feel the most alive?

Many moments every day. I strive to be present even if I don’t always succeed. When I traveled through Europe on my bicycle with a friend, we had logged a lot of miles on a very hot day through the French countryside. We came upon some sprinklers, jumped off our bikes and reveled in the cool, refreshing spray. I felt blissful accomplishing something difficult and being rewarded so viscerally.

7. If money and time were no object, where on earth would you go?

Australia to visit my old roommates, Antarctica as an ultimate adventure and a dare for myself since I’m sensitive to cold temperatures, Greece because it looks exquisite in the travel magazines, Venice just because everyone should visit Venice once.

8. Who is your hero?

Gandhi, the Dalai Lama, and all the famous and anonymous peacemakers on our planet past and present.

9. Name a place in the world that you know a lot about and would make a great resource for our Divas. Tell us about it.

The only places I’ve traveled recently enough to have some expertise are Ecuador, The Galapagos, and Maui.

10. And finally a word from our Featured Diva, you in your own words—give us a stirring, Diva-worthy battle cry for women everywhere to hear!

You are extraordinary, contrary to anything less you might have ever believed. Live your extraordinary life NOW!

Thanks, Featured Diva! Brava!
