The Mango Festival in St. Lucia is hosted at the beautiful Jade Mountain Resort led by the resort’s consulting chef, James Beard, and mango expert Allen Susser and his team. Friday June 11th: Mad Mad Mango cocktail party. Divas will be tantalized with the tropical Mango cocktails such as the deliciously titled Mangotini and the Rum Mango Mojito.
Saturday June 12th: Mango Tour the Emerald Gardens of Jade Mountain featuring the cuisine concept, “From the Farm to the Plate.” But more importantly, it ends with a tropical snack and more mangos on the back porch of the farmhouse!
“Mangos Rule!” – a cooking class including recipes and tasting.
“Night of 1001 Mangos” – a five-course spectacular dinner consisting of seasonal and sustainable menu matched with wines.
Sunday, June 13 is a day for Divas to rest. Settle down with a breakfast of seasonal exotic fruits, mangos, freshly baked breads, artesian cheeses and freshly brewed St. Lucian native coffee or loose-leaf teas.
Monday June 13th, lunch at the Jungle Grill on the Anse Mamin Beach: Take the water taxi over and enjoy a leisurely lunch grilled under the palm and mango trees. You can’t beat that!
A tour of the Anse Mamin plantation is also offered.
Tuesday June 15th: Mango Madness will come to an end with the Mango Cooking class hosted by Executive Chef Jonathan Dearden.
