The Willows Lodge is THE place to sleep when your dining at either the Barking Frog, or the Herbfarm, or just tired from a day of wine tasting, or
just looking for a romantic getaway. Perfectly situated along the Sammamish River in the heart of Woodinville Wine Country it also borders the scenic Burke Gilman trail border that runs all the way to Seattle. A morning stroll along the trail (or a very long run) is the perfect way to burn off some of the calories from last night’s dinner. For you less ambitious types, you’ll be happy just exploring The Willows five beautifully landscaped acres. There are fragrant herb gardens, flowering deciduous trees, even a hidden courtyard next to the spa that provides a hydrotherapy pool experience under the stars. Look for the many works of North Coast Native art dotted around the grounds.

The rustic Northwest style of the Willows Lodge marries beautifully with the many luxurious touches, such as the comfy beds which are covered with Australian lambs wool mattress pads, Egyptian linens, duvets and goose down pillows. Each of the oversized guest rooms (average size is 500 square feet) has a stone fireplace, huge soaking tub designed for two, high-speed internet access, and a sophisticated sound and video system. Other niceties include Molton Brown toiletries, your own French press featuring Starbuck’s coffee in the morning, and a first for me…a separate walk-in shower that provides temperature control to the degree.

Art plays a significant role at the Lodge. The Lodge selected works of the most highly skilled NW Coast Native American artists. These paintings, photographs and sculptures are special because they spring from the stories of the Native American cultures and are woven through the gardens, public spaces, and guest rooms. Pictures of the artists and their statements are included along with several books in the library on their artwork.

And the best news of all is that the fabulous Barking Frog delivers the Room Service!
