One cannot help but fall in love with Shahab Paranj and his incredible smile. Born in Tehran in 1983, he moved to the United States to follow his dream of making beautiful music. Shahab is a composer of contemporary classical music and is known for promoting Persian music and culture throughout the world. For years, he was on tour with the famed Iranian band Shams Ensemble where has played for Amnesty International at Davies Symphony Hall.

This Friday, S.F. Conservatory of Music, is opening the season at the Old First Church with a spectacular program. Shahab musical composition “A Bitter Letter” will be performed by the San Francisco based Aleron Trio. The stunning Aleron Trio has been coached and mentored by faculty members at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music including Paul Hersh, Mack McCray, Jennifer Culp and Axel Strauss.
