Naomi Wilzig, a renowned art and antiques collector opened the museum in 2005 to share her treasures with the world. Her passion grew out of a simple request from her son to find a painting to liven up his apartment walls and entice and excite a few of his closest female friends. The rest is history. Today, over 4000 unique works, from Picasso to PinUp, are showcased in 12,000 square feet of museum space.
It is easy to get lost in the mesmerizing imagery and deviant collectibles celebrating a subject matter as old as Adam & Eve. There is no doubt that this is one museum where visitors need to keep an open mind. I will honestly say… after my visit I am still not 100% clear on the uses of many of the artful devices displayed;the Fetish & Masturbation exhibit room will definitely require a second look and is guaranteed to make for stimulating cocktail party conversation!
