Check out the work of local artists at the Summer Art Walk on Saturday, July 17 from 12 Noon to 5pm. This free , self-guided, and public event aims to inspire the Bay Area public to explore the arts community offered by the galleries surrendering Union Square. With over a dozen galleries collaborating on this event, including Alphonse Berber Projects and Cain Schulte Contemporary Art, the Summer Art Walk demonstrates the vibrancy and diversity of the fine arts community. The galleries open to the public and exhibit artworks by a selection of distinguished artists in a variety of media. The schedule of events features artist talks, performance art, live music, film screenings and other cultural activities throughout the afternoon. Refreshments and wine will accompany brief presentations and demonstrations by artists and gallerist’s. Stroll through Union Square while you visit various galleries, enjoying refreshments & nibbles provided by Bistro 69, Club One, Farm:Table and many more. Each gallery will be presenting a brief lecture or demonstration by local artists and the San Francisco Museum of Craft + Design will offer free admission throughout the day. Coupons with be offered and raffles will be held throughout the Art Walk for a variety of items.
