Tony Award winner Lea Salonga makes a rare Bay Area appearance in a benefit concert at The Nourse Auditorium at CityArts for one night only. She is a Broadway icon, singer, and actress best known for originating the role of Kim in the blockbuster musical, Miss Saigon, for which she garnered the Tony and numerous other Awards. She played the roles of Eponine and Fantine in the global musical phenomenon, Les Miserables, earning raves worldwide. Ms. Salonga is the singing voice of Jasmine in Disney’s Aladdin, the title role in Mulan, and was honored as a “Disney Legend” in 2011.

A distinguished crowd, including delegates from the Philippine government and Northern California’s most influential leaders, will attend. The proceeds will benefit PhilDev, a non-profit organization whose mission is to further develop the Philippine economy with the advancement of science and technology through programs in high tech education, research and entrepreneurship training.
