Festival del Sole’s Spectacular Gala at Meadowood

Napa Valley Festival del Sole’s Annual Gala at Meadowood Napa Valley was an evening worthy of the Great Gatsby himself. Glamour, world-class croquet, jazz, and an elegant dinner on the lawn all conspire to transport guests back to the Roaring Twenties. It was wonderful seeing so many incredible Divas dressed in wonderful Flapper outfits.

Rick Walker, the co-founder and director of Festival del Sole, tells the Nob Hill Gazette, “Tonight is about the wonderful era of The Great Gatsby and the guests have done a phenomenal job capturing the spirit. The lawn is lined with vintage cars and the food and décor have all be created to showcase this golden age.”

The evening began with an elegant reception alongside Meadowood’s championship croquet lawn, guests were welcomed with a glass of Domaine Carneros sparkling wine in vintage champagne glasses. Then, the guests were called to dinner by the Russian National Orchestra Percussion Ensemble.

A beautiful alfresco dinner on the fairways followed and featured an exquisite pairing of Meadowood cuisine with hand-selected Lokoya and Intrada wines,

including a library vintage. Captivating jazz performances by the Concord Jazz All Stars with Monica Mancini, Tom Scott, Shelly Berg, Brian Nova and Gregg Field, filled the warm air before and after dinner. The evening ended with a high energy live auction of one-of-a-kind experiential lots benefiting Festival del Sole, local arts education programs and other charities. The live auction raised $423,000.
