This Saturday, in San Francisco, the wonderful organization Junior League is hosting their incredible fashion at the iconic The Fairmont Hotel.

WHO:
The 83rd Annual Junior League of San Francisco (JLSF) Fashion Show – “The Art of Fashion.”

WHAT:
The JLSF runway fashion show is a breathtaking event, produced with Macy’s, filled with drama and elegance with fashions modeled by Junior League members. This year will feature two show options: a fashionable luncheon and a black-tie gala dinner dance at the Fairmont Hotel. Each show will also include a fabulous silent auction and an exciting live auction. The JLSF Fashion Show is the longest-running event of its kind in the nation and a premier fundraising event in San Francisco. In its 83 year history, the Show has raised many millions of dollars for the Bay Area Community.

SHOW HIGHLIGHTS:
– James Kyson Lee, who plays Ando on the popular show “Heroes” will be on stage to help kick off the show and raffle off a customized visit to the “Heroes” set in Los Angeles!
– This year’s Fashion Show marks the 50th anniversary of the JLSF’s relationship with the Fairmont Hotel. The Fairmont has provided the venue and worked closely with the JLSF all these years to ensure the each of the Shows was truly spectacular.

– Celebrity Models! The show will feature a host of local celebrities including “View From the Bay’s” Janelle Wang and John Sasaki from KTVU, Channel 2.

– The Fashion Show is going Green! This year’s show will be run on 100% renewable energy. Viasyn, Inc. in providing the renewable energy services.

– The Show will feature organic, locally grown cuisine.

– Music by Donovan. Donovan will be spinning fabulous tunes during the evening show.

FASHION HIGHLIGHTS AND TRENDS:

Fashion Trends Provided by Fashion Show Partner – Macy’s: Bill Bigler, Vice President & Fashion Director

Women’s:
– Daytime dresses in vibrant floral prints and rich hues of crushed berry, blue topaz and Irish clover.

– Neutral colorations are accented with tones of spicy cayenne, yellow curry and verdant green. Snakeskin, zebra and Ikat prints as well as ethnic embellishments of burnished metal, natural stone and wood lend themselves to modern tunic, shirtdress and jumpsuit silhouettes.

– A bountiful kaleidoscope of color dominates eveningwear for spring.

Men’s:
– The neutral palette is back in full force for spring.

– Crisp white is paired with the vast blue color spectrum in tones ranging from aqua, pale sky and mist to inky hues of indigo and deep ocean.

– Kids and Teens: Inspired by a bohemian look, elements of tie-dye, embroidery, vintage prints and worn in denim are prevalent.
