Tucked between the bustling chic High Street and the quiet neighborhood of Kensington are the charming full-service apartments of Kensington Court. Located on an attractive private square lined with Range Rovers, Porsches, and Audis, Kensington Court is the perfect place for any jet setting Diva to call home while visiting London.

Unlike busy hotels, where rooms are the size of postage stamps, Kensington Court affords you plenty of room to get cozy, make a cup of tea, and enjoy all the creature comforts of home. All the apartments have full kitchens or kitchenettes, new bathrooms, and wireless Internet access.

Once a beautiful private residence of a wealthy Londoner, the building still retains much of its original charm and furnishings. Now, it boasts eleven individual apartments ranging from studios to three-bedroom apartments sleeping from one to eight people. The service, style, commitment to details, and location has earned this property a prestigious 4-Star rating by the English Tourist Council–and a high-five by the crew at Tango Diva!

This abode is steps from fabulous shopping and dining on High Street Kensington and a mere two blocks from the Underground. You can also take a quick bus ride to Knightsbridge (Harrods and Harvey Nichols), the Albert Hall, Museums, Olympia, Earls Court Exhibition halls, Notting Hill (Portobello Road Market), and Buckingham Palace.

If you plan on doing London with a group of friends, then Kensington Court is the ideal location! You can easily rent an apartment that sleeps up to eight. Some of the apartments include their own washing machine and dryer, so you can do your own laundry if you plan on being in London for more than a week.

I stayed at Kensington Court during my last visit to London and I was quite impressed with the apartment. Many hotels in London, unless you are ransoming off your first born, are tiny and lack charm or style. But here, you get it all! Plenty of space to spread out, a place to prepare your own meals if you wish, and a lovely setting in a great neighborhood.

My apartment had a delightful patio off the living room, a full-size kitchen, two bedrooms, and a washing machine and dryer. I could have moved in it was so comfortable. While I was there, I went grocery shopping, stocked my refrigerator full of yummy, healthy snacks and a few bottles of fruit juice and wine. At night, I’d stroll down High Street and grab a bite to eat at one of the many restaurants that fill the neighborhood. One night, I picked up some Chinese “take-away” and enjoyed an evening watching the BBC, eating Chinese food, and drinking beer. I ended the night with a long, hot bath.

My only complaint was that I had to leave. I loved coming “home” to my big living room, wonderful private patio, modern kitchen, and quiet space.

oh, and when you book your wonderful stay in a plush apratment, let them know Tango Diva sent you!
