What makes life in Boston hum for Anand?

Diva Minds Want to Know…

1. Where do you like to flirt?

Anywhere women are feeling their best. In Boston: Newbury Street cafes, where you can spot ladies who have had a great day’s shopping and chatting with their best friends surrounded by designer label shopping bags.

2. Where’s your favorite table for two?

Mistral. The food is fabulous, the atmosphere intimate & chic, and 33 nightclub is just around the corner. (Hint: only go there with a man who you have knocked dead with your presence because it is easily the most expensive restaurant in Boston. You’ve impressed him with YOU; he should be trying to impress you by treating you to this place.)

3. Where should we stay when we visit (besides your place)?

Four Seasons. Perfect location and a lounge bar that attracts the beautiful & the mighty. If you secretly have wanted to marry a blue blooded man with pads in Martha’s Vineyard and party invites to the Hamptons, then call up and persuade the Harvard Club to let you stay. Dowdy rooms with Laura Ashley style furnishings, but located at the end of the Newbury Street. Hang out in the front bar till a member starts chatting to you.

4. What quality do you find irresistible in a woman?

A woman who understands her own intrinsic femininity and expresses it through creativity: whether it be a great outfit and entrance into a party that turns heads, a dinner party that makes even her best friend jealous or a unique million dollar career.

5. Where can we find you on a free Sunday afternoon? Just roll over?

Eating a LATE brunch in many of the downtown cafes with a copy of the Economist & a novel. I might have a hangover but only because I danced all night (really).

6. What do you love most about your city (besides our arrival)?

It’s a city that understands its heritage and expresses it through architecture, art and events. You will never have more intelligent conversations in any city outside Paris.

7. What should we bring when we visit your town? What should we leave with?

Bring an open mind ready to be stuffed with new ideas. Not zany & edgy ideas such as in NYC, but in arts and academia (Boston and its surroundings have more universities than anywhere in the world. Cafes are full of Phds & MBAs). Leave with a man who turned you on through your mind. If you thought “Beautiful Mind” was a sexy movie, Boston is the place for you.

8. What do we absolutely have to see while we\’re there?

The arts museums. And forget the Cheers Bar unless you want to meet Euro-tourists and very badly dressed groups from Detroit.

9. Any areas of town we should avoid?

It’s all good. But don’t go to Harvard Square if you can’t resist buying a sweatshirt saying “Harvard University’ in day-glo colours.

10. Any local secrets you want to share?

The restaurants here are better than NYC (yes, its true).
