1. Where do you like to flirt?

Lying on the sofa.. in the elevator.. or anywhere else I can get my lady’s attention! I must add.. I only flirt with my beloved!

2. What are your favorite places to eat and drink?

Senyor Parellada on Calle Argenteria 37 in Barcelona (upstairs)

3. Where should we stay when we visit?

You’ll definitely want to stay at the Chic & Basic on Calle Princesa in Barcelona. Each room seems to have a different color theme…at least that’s what I can see from my balcony across the street ;-)

It’s on a “calle” (that’s Spanish for “street”) “Princesa”.. yes!! Princess Street… it’s across the street from the Chocolate Museum & Pastry School. There is the most beautiful park down the block to walk off all the calories from the beautiful restaurants that you’ll find every 10 meters whist walking down any street in this neighborhood. And it’s situated in the “hip” barrio of “Born,” just down the street from the Picasso Museum.

4. What qualities do you find irresistible in a woman?

Intelligent, open minded, pushes me to my limit & knows what she wants! Mine had a list of 20 qualities I had to have, of which 5 were “non-negotiable” when we met!

5. Where can we find you on a free Sunday afternoon?

You’ll find me on the beach, walking through Barcelona on the way to the beach or at the market on my way back from the beach.

6. What do you love most about your hometown (besides our arrival)?

The energy, the food, the sun, the ocean, the mountains, the people & the night life. I guess it would be easier if I just said everything other than 3 AM when the glass recycle bin gets emptied just outside my bedroom window!!! OUCH!!

7. What should we bring when we visit? What should we leave with?

Bring an empty suitcase!! Ladies, the shopping in UNBELIVABLE here!! Leave with the biggest smile on your face and whatever is left of your heart (cause you’re bound to leave most of it here).

8. What do we absolutely have to see while we’re there?

The artists, musicians and opera singers in the back streets of the Gothic barrio (around the cathedral).

9. Any areas of town we should avoid?

Facing the ocean, the right side of Las Ramblas, definitely not a nice area to walk around unless you’re accompanied by a “protector” like myself.

10. Any local secrets you want to share?

Bubo | The ultimate desert store hidden in the back streets of Borne

Website: www.bubo.ws

Papa Bubble | Candy artisans in a very dodgy part of town

Website: Papa Bubble

OroLiquido | The Olive Oil Shop

Website: www.oroliquido.es

Also…a secret told to me by an old man as to why the Spaniards & Portuguese put a “slash” through their “7”’s. Apparently, when Moses came down from the mountain with the 10 commandments, the 7th was adultery! I know, not very nice from “a charminguy,” but you do have to maintain a sense of humor.
